Standard Job Description:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Typical Minimums:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Specific Job Description:
Willingness and ability to travel while both awaiting clearance and after clearance is obtained, is desirable. Assist with systems analysis, requirements definition, developing operational concepts, and implementing Systems Engineering methodologies and practices as related to Systems Engineering technologies. Ability to support systems analysis on software, hardware, database or network components. Ability to analyze and research design elements with the goal of assuring that requirements, concepts, and interfaces meet functionality and are verifiable. Flexible, able to work in a dynamic and changing environment. Provide recommendations change documentation and assist in the presentation of changes at Engineering Review Boards (ERB's). Self starter. Excellent written and communication skills, both formal and informal. Experience in Web site development, Unix and troubleshooting distributed system problems is a plus.
