Our install work is part of product development, and thus the candidate needs to have a strong focus on install process improvement & install process quality. Strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills required. Written skills need to include technical documentation creation and review. Knowledge of software development and deployment processes. Previous development experience highly recommended. General knowledge of networking principles. Knowledge of Installshield, Perl, Visual Basic, SQL, and Java is highly recommended. Knowledge of standard technology troubleshooting and problem resolution techniques, especially with Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2003 Enterprise server, and SQL Server 2000. Knowledge of reliability, availability and security principles and how they are applied in a software development organization. May require participation in on call rotation, and flexibility to work off-hours occasionally.BS/BA with a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience.
