Reports to:Job Summary:
System Test Engineering Specialists provide semi-professional technical assistance to engineers in the support of engineering activities such as set-up, operation, maintenance, modification, testing, calibration, troubleshooting of systems, circuitry, prototype models, or specialized equipment.Responsibilities to Include:
May carry out engineering assignments which have a basic degree of complexity.
Performs assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
Writes or interprets specifications.
Prepares reports, charts and graphs for scientific or engineering personnel to use in making decisions on design or experiment development.
Implementation of test methods, operational knowledge of related test support equipment & development of fixturing required to support component, subsystem, and system development, integration & qualification testing.
Troubleshooting, maintenance and operation of complex mechanical & electronic equipment and test / data instrumentation knowledge is required.
Support of detailed data analysis and evaluation of test results presented in MS Office formats.
Applicant will be required to provided guidance and direction to technicians.
Applicant must be able to perform test duties in various locations including tropical, rain forest, desert, and the arctic environments.
System Test engineering specialist must be capable of performing test related activities including test setup, conduct and reporting with minimal supervision from senior level engineers.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Position typically calls for technical training and/or an Associates Degree with 3+ years of experience.Position Requirements:
Minimum of 10+ years of test related experience is also required.
Background in electromechanical assemblies, development of test plans / procedures and data acquisition required with proven electro/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
Good verbal and written communications skills demonstrating proficiency in organizing, planning and prioritizing multi-faceted tasks to achieve end goals.
Computer skills including familiarity with MS Office.License and Certification Requirements:
