System Integration and Test Engineer

Purpose:
Job ID: 48010Department Description: System Integration and Test for the Voice and Data Solutions CPE product line.Current products include embedded and standalone telephony adapters, integrated DSL Modems, integrated and standalone Cable Modems and wireless gateways that support VoIP (PacketCable, SIP and UMA), DOCSIS, CableHome, and Gateway functionality.Responsibilities/Expectations: Responsible for performing system testing of VoIP, DSL, DOCSIS and gateway broadband products
Develop, maintain and execute detailed requirements-based test plans and procedures
Independently troubleshoot problems with product, network and test tools
Report bugs to developers, assist with debug and track and verify fixed bugs
May be responsible for the development and implementation of test automation
Able to embrace challenging assignments and develop new approaches with minimal supervision
Able to work in a team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills^^Knowledge Skills: 5+ years engineering experience in test environment Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
Familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, PacketCable, UMA)
Familiarity with Voice quality testing (PSQM and MOS scores, bulk call, call feature, reliability, stability and configuration tests)
Familiarity with VoIP/telephony test equipment (Abacus, SAGE and Advent)
Knowledge of IP stack, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, DHCP, SIP, H.323, NTP, mail, TFTP, FTP and routing protocols
Experience with TCP/IP, SNMP, DHCP, SIP, NTP, mail, TFTP, FTP and PacketCable provisioning servers; analyzers, gateways, routers, firewalls and switches
DSL and DSLAM knowledge SUN, MAC, and Linux platform experience
Configure PCs, UNIX servers, routers, test tools, DSL/DSLAM, Ethernet network, and HFC cable environments MS-Office, Excel and Project familiarity.
