Job Description:

Join the Harris Government Communications Systems Division team as a system engineer to design hardware and software system architectures for satellite ground processing systems for the Missions Systems Special Programs business area. Qualified candidates must have relevant domain experience in satellite ground processing systems architecture & design preferably for government customers in the INTEL community, or commercial SATCOM experience. Candidates must have experience with command and control, mission planning, data collection and processing, information assurance, data dissemination and archiving.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•BSEE, or another engineering discipline, MSEE preferred.
•Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience as a system engineer.

Experience:
•Translation of objectives into architectural concepts, system quantitative requirements and system functional requirements; development of CONOPS, system specifications, and external Interfaces and data architecture design.
•Perform Trade-off Analysis, make/buy cost analysis and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product tradeoffs. Perform modeling, simulation and analysis of alternatives that evaluate mission effectiveness, mission utility, performance
•Perform technical leadership for design, development, and system integration and test
•Provide Technical oversight for subcontractors/suppliers
•Participating and Conducting System Requirements Reviews, System Design Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews
•Experience with DOORS tool desired.


TS/SSBI security clearance preferred, must have the ability to obtain.
