System Administrator / Maintenance Programmer

Idaho Information Consortium operates the Idaho.gov portal on behalf of the State of Idaho. We provide Internet-based electronic government services that use the Internet to reduce costs and provide a higher level of service to businesses and citizens. We are seeking an experienced system administrator to join our technical staff. This position involves assisting in the maintenance of a variety of web applications, so strong programming and web authoring skills are a must.

Duties:
* Maintain Idaho.gov's network infrastructure and server environment
* Set, enforce, and audit network security policies
* Maintain existing web applications
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in CS or related discipline
* 3 years experience maintaining UNIX (Solaris and Linux) systems in a production
environment
* In-depth familiarity with TCP/IP networking and firewall administration.
* Strong working knowledge of Internet and WWW applications.
* Must be comfortable working with sh, ksh, bash, and perl scripting; also compiling,
installing, and debugging Gnu and F/OSS software.
* Following knowledge a plus: Java/Spring, HTML, SQL
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills
* Self-motivated and creative

Compensation:

* Salary range $55,000 - $65,000
