This position is seeking an IT professional to administer Telescience Support Center (TSC) Workstations and Servers both in Linux and Windows operating systems that are configured with TSC developed software and other layered products. This employee shall be fluent in WindowsXP/2003 operating system and its layered products, and at managing the Active Directory, IIS Web Servers, DNS Server, MS-SQL Servers, Flash Communication Servers, ColdFusion Servers, and systems parameters in the TSC real-time data acquisition systems. This individual will analyze real-time systems applications to identify problems and formulate new and/or modified system registry entries, system tests, installations, and implementations to resolve issues. The employee shall be knowledgeable in networking, Cisco switches/routers, CheckPoint Firewall administration, TSC software engineering, network design topology and familiar with scripting to manage the TSC Data System infrastructures. The employee shall be able to use systems utilities to checking security vulnerabilities, systems patches, systems backups, systems replication, and systems deployment as well as provides user documentation. The employee is required to stay current with new advancements in IT security, OS, and other applicable technologies and possess the ability to choose the best tool for solving systems requirements.
General Position Description:
Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems. Develops requirements, workflow and systems analysis. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Establishes standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products. Proficient in company's operating system language (MAC, WindowsNT, Windows98, Unix, etc.).
