Supervisor, Environmental, Health and Safety

If so, then we would like you to consider joining our team.PPG Industries, a $10 billion leading producer of coatings, glass, chemicals, and fiberglass is seeking a talented person for a Supervisor Environmental, Health and Safety within North American OEM glass in Evart, MI.This position coordinates plant safety, health, and environmental activities to ensure compliance with corporate and local plant policies and governmental regulations as well as supports business unit performance and financial objectives. The position also participates in goal-setting and continuous improvement initiatives in order to achieve plant safety, quality, and value targets and milestones. This position spends a considerable amount of time on the shop floor in a hot, cold or noisy environment.This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, or equivalent. A minimum of two years of preliminary supervisory or staff experience is preferred. The incumbent must possess strong interpersonal, leadership and judgment skills, and the ability to assess priorities and act decisively on complex issues and problems. The incumbent must be knowledgeable on all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
