Sun Solaris Engineer

Prestigious Fortune 500 Company located in Chicago's Northern Suburbs is currently seeking 1 Sun Solaris Administrator and 2 Sun Solaris Engineers. The current environment consists of 300 plus servers and is growing. Primary UNIX OS is Solaris, but some Linux (SuSe and Redhat), AIX and HP also exists. Candidate’s responsibilities:

-Basic and complex administrative tasks, resource and capacity administration, product administration and support, leading medium-sized initiatives, shell scripting, etc.
-Performs complex troubleshooting, configuration, and performance analysis tasks.
-Assigned responsibilities for deep technical support, asset and license management, and end-user support for specific tools and products.
-Provides on-call operational and technical support on a rotating schedule.
-Processes service requests for standard and complex Unix services.
-Participates in projects of all sizes. Represents the Unix systems administration group on project teams.
