The primary duties of the Substation Project Engineer include physical substation design, detailed design of substation relay and controls as well as the preparation of cost estimates, designs and construction specifications. Will perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Fully experienced, competent engineer. May make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures. May function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects but project management is not sole focus of position. May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians.Keywords:

REQUIREMENTS
BSEE.5+ years of experience in substation physical design and/or controls and relaying design preferred.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer In Training (EIT) and active commitment to obtain P.E. License required.
Specific experience performing aspects associated with substation design including One Line Diagrams, General Arrangements, Sections, Grounding, Conduit Plans, Foundation Plans, Material Lists, Relay and Control Systems, Control Schematics and Wiring Diagrams preferred.
