Structural Analyst Engineer

The incoming engineer will be required to perform finite element based, structural & fatigue analysis of engine components including the Cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, brackets in a combined Research & Development environment. You will work in a team and will interact with design engineers in order to obtain design and other model input information, and to communicate results and make design recommendations. Your responsibilities will include manipulating Pro/Engineer 3D models, developing the mesh, gather loading input data from other engineers, apply boundary conditions and loads. You will also be running the analysis to determine stress and deflection, post processing, interpreting and communicating results in a .ppt presentation with appropriate recommendations.


Requirements:

MSME and/or Strong educational background in applied mechanics, heat transfer, and dynamics. Minimum of 1 year actual work experience (not school based) using ABAQUS structural analysis tool. Pro/Engineer manipulation models.Familiarity with engine design and components. Dynamic analysis experience would be extremely beneficial and would allow for additional responsibilities. 1+ year of experience in engine component design using Pro/Engineer (part and assembly mode).Strong analytical skills, demonstrated strong learning skills, good communication skills.You should be a highly motivated individual and a self-starter.You must be flexible for varying hours.
