Statistical Engineer
Category: Quality Control/Statistical Engineer Overview: The successful candidate should be familiar with batch record, PVP/PVR for all products.Extensive Knowledge of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control) methodology.Accelerate improvements in all processes, products and services.Reduce cost of poor quality by eliminating waste and reducing defects and variations.Proven way to drive financial & performance excellence.Identifies customer needs.Drives project outcome.Promotes fact-based decision making and breakthrough thinking (Root Cause analysis decision making, interrelationship diagraph).Knows all necessary quality tools for problem solving issue.Uses basic statistic to support the decision making.Establishes and develops control charts.Able to perform process capability studies and, how to calculate and interpret Cpk values.Establishes and monitors statistical process control in compression and other areas as needed.Coaches mid-management and supervisor on Six Sigma.Responsibilities:
Knowledge of all the product linesManages product history, documentation, APR, current performance. Identifies the root cause of failure and use proper corrective action statistically.Demonstrates competent mathematical/analytical/statistical skillsHas excellent written and verbal skills.Capable of technically addressing unique statistical and process control problems.Skilled at problem solving.Strong interpersonal skills.Able to provide clear, technically sound, well-communicated guidance to non-statisticians.Self-motivated; ability to work independently and complete work on a timely basis.Skilled on Minitab knowledge and statistical analysis software, SAS (JUMP), statistical process control (SPC), and Excel.Experience in working with manufacturing, product development, validation, product specification setting, OOS, SPC, process optimization, etc is considered directly related.Job Requirements

Minimum BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Minimum of four years of directly related/industry experience using six sigma or applied statistics in engineering projects or a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated sound knowledge of statistical applications pertaining to statistical process control (quality control) and design experiments. Demonstrates competent mathematical/analytical/statistical skills, excellent written and verbal skills, capable of technically addressing unique statistical and process control problems, skilled at problem solving, strong interpersonal skills,able to provide clear, technically sound, well-communicated guidance to non-statisticians, self motivated; ability to work independently and ocmplete work on a timely basis. Skilled on Minitab knowledge and statistical analysis software, SAS (JUMP), statistical process control (SPC), and Excel.Experience in working with manufacturing, product development, validation, product specification setting, OOS, SPC, process optimization, etc is considered directly related.
