Provides technical direction in the use of Systems Development methodologies and processes (uses SEI CMMi and/or ISO 9000 compliant processes to execute assigned tasks).
Acts as advisor to top management and Customers on advanced technical studies and applications.
Uses metrics, earned value, and other techniques to measure and control system development efforts and recommends organizational process improvements.
Interfaces with other activities as required to direct and perform tasks. Insures system architecture and its documentation is developed according to project standards.
Mentors junior engineers.
Estimates personal and team efforts for assigned tasks.
Prepares technical plans and task definitions.
Establishes schedule, resource, and tool requirements for tasks.
Assesses impact of modification requests.
Performs Requirements Engineering, starting with analysis of mission needs and including allocation of requirements to S/W and H/W, allocation to subsystems and components, and requirements tracing.
Defines test plans/procedures and integrates and tests developed systems. Uses tools to aid in the full system development process.Requirements:
US citizen; US Government Secret (or higher) security clearance; Ms or equivalent desired (Electrical Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Engineering (Science)/Physical Science; minimum 14 years related professional experience.
