Staff Environmental Engineer

Purpose: Growing environmental consulting firm with offices in Northern and Southern California and Washington actively seeks an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer for their Concord, California offices.

With a broad base of services that include environmental, geotechnical and construction this firm is enabled to offer comprehensive turnkey remediation services to clients in both the public and private sectors.

The entry-level staff engineer will need to have a BS in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, preferably have their EIT and have a strong desire to pursue a career in the environmental field. Candidates with 1 to 2 years with a similar firm or in a similar industry (civil, geotechnical, construction management) are also strongly encouraged to apply.

The staff engineer will help support project and senior level engineers on a wide variety of remediation-oriented projects that could include, but are not limited to, landfill capping and closure, industrial site closure and facility decommissioning, contaminated soil excavation, storage tank removal and closure, hazardous waste management, transportation and disposal, remedial action implementation and similar, related projects. The staff engineer will be expected to work in both an outdoor, field environment as well as in-office. Duties could include soil, air and groundwater sampling, engineering calculation and analysis, report writing, contractor observation and interaction with county, state and federal officials and regulatory agencies.
