Combustion Devices Design Staff Engineer. Will create designs for liquid rocket engine hardware. Design activity includes conceptual design creation, design layouts, systems design and integration, and fabrication process identification. Tasks include preparation and maintenance of design models and drawings and associated documentation. Researches, develops, analyzes, designs, and supports fabrication of components using engineering and scientific principles. Candidate shall be capable of translating engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through the product life cycle. Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy and reliability. Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
