Sr Systems Engineer (FMS Software Definition)

This position requires knowledge of aircraft systems and flight management systems along with excellent written and oral communications that facilitate interaction with top tier aviation manufacturers and coworkers in the pre-eminent avionics company.



Projects will encompass state of the art avionics software and hardware to create leading edge automation that makes flight safer, easier and more economical.



Tasks will include all aspects of avionics software definition from requirements creation through flight test. Other tasks include software architecting, documentation, functional testing, integration testing, and/or delivery support. Responsibilities include technical coordination with systems, software engineers, verification engineers, system integrators, safety and certification engineering and customers, including aircraft manufacturers.



The successful candidate will work in a modern integrated development environment that has been extended with custom built tools including proprietary simulation software that allows desktop testing of the aircraft cockpit.



The candidate should have experience in software definition and testing in a real-time embedded computing environment. A background in aviation and/or avionics is strongly desired. Experience with human-machine interfaces such as control display units or multifunction displays is a plus. The selected candidate will be a self motivated individual who responds positively to engineering challenges with innovative solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field and six years related exempt experience.
