Senior Systems Engineer responsible for supporting LCVSM and Program Management and Marketing for RNP/RNAV/VNAV Project Application competitive assessments, industry shows, product roadmap updates, resolution of customer issues, and reviewing or preparing marketing and training materials. Applicant will work with OEMs to define RNP/RNAV/VNAV Project Application requirements and be responsible for the definition of related system architectures. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating resolution of RNP/RNAV/VNAV design or regulatory compliance issues and feature development with Collins business units. Responsible for providing direction, coordination, and control on assigned systems projects, including management of specific work packages for scope, cost, and schedule in accordance with established systems engineering process. Specific responsibility will include writing system specifications for a wide variety of commercial avionics subsystems; coordination with design engineering and the customer for technical requirements development; systems integration test rig definition, design, and build; system interconnect design; systems integration testing; and flight testing to demonstrate compliance with certification and regulatory requirements. Applicant should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and should have demonstrated the ability to lead and work on projects in a matrix organization.

Additional Requirements: Prior product design/system engineering experience in the Commercial Avionics market is required. Experience in using the following tools is desirable: MS Office, Access, Project Scheduler, DOORs, and LabView. Knowledge of Pro Line II, 4, 21, and Air Transport avionics systems is plus. Knowledge of general aircraft systems and ability to work with other people is required. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related exempt experience plus six years related exempt experience.
