CDI has an Immediate Need for a Sr. Systems Engineer
Job Description:

Installs, configures and maintains UNIX/VMS/Windows operating systems and systems management software. Responsible for all technical aspects of the FileNet and OCR/ICR systems including:

• Trouble shoot system problems
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems
• Backup and recover appropriate files
• Recover from hardware failures
• Recover from Software failures
• Configure software products (FileNet IS, FileNet Capture tools, RRI FormWorks, RRI SQA, Captiva FormWare)
• Manage computer resources oAssist LAN Group in the Addition/relocation and upgrade of system servers
• Maintain network integrity
• Monitor disk space
• Monitor application performance (CPU usage)
• Maintain lookup tables
• Support scanners (working with scanner vendor, software vendors and internal resources)
• Use software specific management tools Manager and system log files to troubleshoot problems
• Work closely with clients, vendors, and other technical staff to identify and resolve issues or problems that impact the UNIX/VMS/Windows environment •Consults with clients and other technical staff on UNIX/VMS/Windows design, implementation, or maintenance issues.
• Analyzes business requirements and recommends technical solutions.
• Provides technical support for UNIX/VMS/Windows application development. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new tools and technologies for UNIX/VMS/Windows.
• Work effectively with clients and other technical staff.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to manage, maintain, document and troubleshoot FileNet Image Services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to install, manage, maintain, document and troubleshoot FileNet Capture products.
• Demonstrated ability to install, manage, maintain, document and troubleshoot OCR/ICR environments; preferably RRI and Captiva software.
• Working knowledge of production Windows 2000/XP environment.
• Working knowledge of UNIX environment.
• 3 - 5 years experience in Windows/Unix and networking or degree in CS or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years experience with FileNet Image Services.
• Experience working in a large IT environment.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP/Networking.
• Working knowledge of Client/Server Environments.
