Seeking a high-energy person for the position of Senior Systems Engineer in the Cargo and Utility Systems Team within the Army and Navy Systems Department. The selected candidate will lead and perform systems engineering tasks in support of rotary wing aircraft avionics systems development. Specific tasks span the requirements development and management, system design, and integration and verification phases of system development. Requirements development and management tasks include planning and leading development of system requirements, lower level requirements, definition and maintenance of derivation traceability from lower level requirements to higher level requirements, and production and maintenance of requirements documentation. Requirements development and management tasks are performed using DOORS requirements management software. System design tasks include planning and leading development of system architectures, allocation of requirements to lower level system components, interface management, and production and maintenance of system design documentation. Integration and verification tasks include planning and leading development of verification plans and verification test cases, assignment of requirements to verification test cases, development of verification test procedures, and dry run and formal verification test procedure execution in an avionics test lab environment. Other responsibilities may include: estimating project costs and schedules, managing cost accounts and schedules, assisting with pursuits, bids and proposal efforts.



Additional Requirements:
Experience with the system engineering process, DOORS, avionics system architectural design, requirements analysis, integration and verification are desired. It is also desired that the candidate possess knowledge in the following areas: flight displays, communication and navigation radio controls, flight management systems, weapons and mission equipment, human factors/human-machine interface, and the following digital data protocols: Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), TCP/IP, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429. Must be motivated to learn at a fast pace, work autonomously and within a team environment. Must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to obtain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related exempt experience plus six years related exempt experience.
