Sr. System Software Analyst

Duties: Responsible for implementing and maintaining the vendor supplied UNIX, Linux and Windows systems for the TSYS hosting environments. Serves as a technical leader for the company and is responsible for resolving issues with the hardware and software used in the TSYS Distributed Technology environments. The Sr. System Software Analyst will assist in assigning tasks as well as be able to install, maintain, monitor, document, and recover distributed systems. The Sr. System Software Analyst will have an understanding of his/her role in the department and division, and become familiar with the structure of the company and the corporate culture. The Sr. System Software Analyst will be expected to train others within the group to perform complex tasks and take the lead without needing to be guided in day to day tasks. Ability to resolve problems quickly and accurately under pressure is considered a must. Ability to direct the technical needs for the group is considered a must. Must be able to design and understand complex system configurations as well as have an understanding of the overall infrastructure within a hosting environment, to include all layers from the edge components to the backend secure connections.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills: Four year college degree and 4 or more years Unix experience or 6 or more years Unix experience is required. Additionally, one of the following requirements must be met: Demonstrates significant contribution to two or more functional areas and/or demonstrates significant contribution to applications using multiple system technologies or vendor systems. Either type of experience requires recommendation from management of those applications.

Preferred Skills: Experience with Solaris Operating Systems is preferred.
