Sr. Structural Stress Analyst

Purpose: Aerotek is currently looking for an engineer with a solid background in structural stress analysis for spacecraft applications. The ability to obtain a DoD clearance preferred. Candidates with past experience with NASA or other space agencies are preferred, but experience at least in other aerospace industries is required.

Responsibilities:

- Stress and fracture analysis of spacecraft structural components, including their dynamic response under flight environments.

- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the analysis of space flight hardware at both the conceptual and detail design levels.

- Experience in FEA (NASTRAN) and hand stress analysis is required.

- Experience in the analysis of composite structures and mechanisms is desired.

- Expertise using FEMAP software is desired.

- Candidate should be a self-starter in need of minimal direction with good interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
