Department Description: The PCS CDMA 1X Software Team at the San Diego Innovation and Product Realization Center is responsible for delivering integrated software for CDMA 1X and CDMA DO handsets. This includes analysis, requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and all software integration and validation activities to achieve shipment for CDMA 1X and CDMA DO products.

Responsibilities/Expectations: Software requirements, design, coding in C & C++ for our cell phone products. Also, provide assistance in the assessment of new projects for complexity and effort, and provide design, coding, and debugging support for many areas of the product such as UI, Engine, CDMA protocol stack, Connectivity, Device layer, etc.^^

Knowledge Skills: The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS EE/CE/CS degree plus 2+ years of experience in the development and debugging of software for real-time embedded systems, preferably with experience in any or all of the following:
Protocol Stack development and debug for CDMA Cellular protocols
User Interface/Applications software for embedded systems.
Experience in hardware/software interfaces
Proficiency in C is required, and experience with C++ is strongly preferred. The candidate must also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving ability, and motivation.
