Sr. Software Test Engineer

L3/Titan Group has an immediate opportunity for a cleared Senior Test Engineer position in Merrifield, Va.The Senior test engineers will supervise the development of manual and automated test scripts in support of the testing of the RCAS product family. In addition, the Senior test engineers should have experience in testing .NET applications and be able to teach junior test engineers in the testing of .NET applications. Senior test engineers will test System Problem Reports (SPR) to ensure the fixes made to the product work correctly and do not adversely impact other functionality.Specific Description of Duties
RCAS Product Family Test Team MemberTest Team Activities
Provide recommendations to the Product Family Lead regarding test processes and methods for providing quality products to the Government.Life Cycle Activities
Attend product family coordination meetings as required throughout the development life cycle.
Conduct test execution for product-level, system integration and system level testing, as directed.
Assure SPRs are documented and tracked within the test organization in accordance with the AITS SPR process.Test Planning
Supervise the product family testers in the development of automated and manual test scripts.Test Documentation
Develop manual and automated test scripts to test the application(s) in the Product Family they are supporting.
Support the development of RCAS Test Plans and procedures for a RCAS release, including application-specific functionality, as directed.
Support the preparation of the RCAS Test Report, including application-specific results, as directed.
Review supporting release documents such as SUMs, On-Line Help and Guides for correctness and completeness.Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)(a) Minimum required:
DoD Secret Clearance.
10+ years experience in formal software test in a Windows NT network environment
Prior experience testing products using web based .NET technology
Experience in using Use Cases for establishing test requirements
Familiar with CMM Level 3 practices
Demonstrated ability to develop automated test scripts using Mercury WinRunner or similar products as well as using the Mercury applications for test planning
Demonstrated ability to supervise members of the test staff
Demonstrated self starter (initiative).
