Sr. RF Development Engineer
Purpose: Responsibilities will include: Develop new RF products to meet customer performance, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
Provides technical interface with customers and technical support to Sales and Marketing
Work closely with Manufacturing Development Team to insure design for manufacturability.
Facilitate prototype builds and validation/verification testing.
Provides responsive support to resolve quality, manufacturing and cost issues related to product design
Provides technical assistance to other engineers as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Engineering with 5 or more years experience in RF Microwave Connector Design (up to 65 Ghz)
Excellent mechanical and electrical design skills
Detailed knowledge of: materials, manufacturing processes such as screw machining, plating, and assembly, and cable used in RF Connectors
Strong cable assembly and electro-mechanical interconnect background; especially in hi frequency digital products and RF background
Must be able to interpret Frequency and Time Domain response plots and relate such data to connector design
Strong CAE skills, such as Pro-E, Ansoft or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Good organizational and project planning skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Desired Qualifications include:
Familiarity and experience with New Product Development documentation systems, procedures & processes such as Design Reviews, FMEAs, DOE, validation testing and Six Sigma Design for manufacturability
Familiarity and experience with scale modeling.
Familiarity and experience using network analyzers and oscilloscopes
Demonstrated ability to be adaptive & flexible in a fast paced environment.
