Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

-Work with a team and develop functional specifications and test plans.

-Help define and update software quality assurance strategies and procedures.

-Design test plans and test cases using functional specifications.

-Test software using the techniques and automated tools in use by the development team.

-Write and verify software change requests and assist software engineers in reproducing and solving product related issues.

-Work closely with technical support to help solve customer issues.

-Maintain a good working relationship with other software engineers and QA engineers assigned to your tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
-BS in Engineering or Computer Science with 3-8 years of experience testing software.

-Excellent written and oral communication skills.

-Must be able to work within a team atmosphere and culture.

-Must be able to define the QA strategies for a project. Occasionally required to lead a team on a project.

-Must understand and practice good software quality assurance disciplines and methodologies.

-A positive “step-up” attitude is essential with highly developed organizational skills required. Ability to perform in a fast paced, multi-tasking work environment.

-A creative mind and approach to problem solving. Willing to weigh the risks and benefits of various approaches to problem solving.

-Experience using Mercury WinRunner or other automated testing tools.

-Experience with PVCS Tracker or other defect tracking systems.

-Familiar with various industrial bus systems.

-Must be able to sit for up to 6 hours per day.

-Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

-Must be able to view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day.

-Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and peers.

-Must possess enough manual dexterity to type for up to 8 hours per day and assemble and wire hardware systems.
