Job Description:
This position may be located in either Baton Rouge or New Orleans, LA.Serves as primary client contact for multiple projects in excess of $2,500,000 of construction costs. Has full managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project including negotiating extras, cost control, staffing and quality control. Determines data collection methods and data survey needs. Oversees preparation of written reports, maps and statements of geologic findings at project site as it relates to the design and construction of projects. Prepares proposals for geotechnical investigations.Secure profitable new work.
Estimate fees, determine scope of work, prepare proposals and contracts on large or multiple projects.
Actively manage client's budget, schedule and program; HNTB budget and schedule; project communications and documentation.
Satisfy client requirements.
Coordinate work efforts and review work performed.Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 16 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, analysis and foundation design and a knowledge of subsurface investigations. Capable of detailed geotechnical analyses for foundation recommendations, settlement, consolidation theory, slope stability, earthwork evaluations, retaining structure consulting, geotechnical report preparation. Is current with trends, literature and new developments in geotechnical engineering field. Must be able to perform field work activities. Must have strong communication skills for client interface. Previous levee work is preferred. Experience must include understanding and successful meeting of Federal Client's (and their customer's) needs and proven project performance (including meeting/exceeding scope, schedule, budget, quality and expectations) on their projects.
