Sr. Network/Telecommunications Engineer*

Job Functions:
The Sr. Network/Telecommunications Engineer will provide engineering guidance and direction for a team of 4-6 Engineers and apply existing hands-on knowledge of telephony, networking, hardware and software to roll out new telecommunications infrastructure within the USAF. The incumbent will:
Oversee and provide final engineering analysis of assessment and requirements documents related to site survey of candidate medical treatment facilities USAF-wide.
Support the team in evaluating technical solutions from vendors, propose new technologies, and monitor/support the on-site team installing new equipment.
Conduct market research of new and emerging technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
7-10 years of experience in Networking and Telephony.
Strong working knowledge of telephony systems and certifications in relevant technologies (Avaya, Nortel, Cisco and Nextel).
Experience with IP, LAN, Microsoft Office, Unix.
Experience with database administration which includes Microsoft Access helpful.
Experience with DoD, Airforce IA, DITSCAP and SSAA processes desirable.
Active Secret Clearance required.Education:
B.S. in relevant engineering field and 5 years technical experience.
