Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Device

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Support the manufacture of class III, medical deivce in the areas of manufacturing engineering, process improvement, production planning, purchasing and any other functions necessary for the team to meet its customers' needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure proper and continuous operation of the manufacturing equipment and systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot vacuum systems, thermal spray equipment, motors, valves, mechanical switches, PLC systems and software as necessary.

Provide technical support for quality control, process improvements, cost savings, process development projects, new product launches, equipment qualifications and process validations.

Supports team through making proposals/recommendations and at times performs projects independently.

Makes proposals/recommendations to help achieve Team goals in quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale.

Involved in new product teams and at times works independently with vendors.

Investigate Quality issues for root cause and recommend/implement document corrective actions.
Makes proposals/recommendations with regards to Capital equipment purchases, cost reduction opportunities (insourcing/outsourcing), and Supplier/Vendor selection.

Owns projects and processes and works with cross-functional teams to get the project completed.
Point of contact with regards to new product development projects.

Knowledge and decision making in regards to tool quality, PFMEA Root Cause Analysis, Mistake Proofing, and Team Manufacturing.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Bachelors degree in Engineering is required. Mechanical is preferred.

Work Experience:

. Must have 2+ years of previous experience in a regulated industry manufacturing environment.

. Must have project management experience/skills.

. Must have strong PC skills.

. Must be a self-starter.

. Must be challenged by a team-based environment which places high degree of emphasis on accountability for customer service levels, inventory management, cost reduction and quality/GMP compliance.
