Job Description
The Senior Engineer role is a key position within the Operations Maturity team. This is a senior technical position that requires an extensive background in managing and implementing large scale distributed environments. This position will be focused on maintaining and enhancing our current email gateway infrastructure, while still supporting other aspects of the Unix/Linux Environment. We are looking for a technically skilled individual with good analytical skills and a strong work ethic to be responsible for deploying and maintaining the 24x7 operations of all internal Linux/Unix hardware and software in our operating environments and for proactively pursuing performance improvements to enhance service offerings. Works within IT Infrastructure Service Team to implement, audit, and update standard operating procedures and documentation for the improvement of delivery and operational maturity. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong troubleshooting skills and be able to work effectively in a team.


Skills Required
-Minimum of 4 years experience as a Linux Systems Administrator/Engineer with at least 2 years supporting a highly available 24x7-production environment.
-Proficiency with Enterprise Linux distributions
-In-depth understanding of configuration and maintenance SMTP
-Provide Shell and Perl scripting (required)
-Proficiency with High Availability systems, including hardware load balanced systems and cluster technology such as Veritas Cluster server, HP MCServicGuard, or Microsoft Cluster Server.
