Sr. Java Developer

Leading Communications company is looking for a Sr. Developer with 5-7 years experience to be a part of a team to help design and develop software products that are used globally. This engineer will be working with a team that has a particular passion for building high-quality and highly scalable server software solutions using Java technologies. The emphasis is on teamwork, collaborative design and the constant pursuit of improving their technology and processes.Our client's customers are demanding additional features and functionality for the particular software products and therefore the team is looking to add an additional motivated, passionate and highly skilled software engineer. Senior Software Engineers participate in the design and planning of new features, and work as part of a team to implement, test, and document those features.
REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years of development experience, using J2EE technologies (Core Java, JDBC, JTA, EJBs, JSP, Struts, Weblogic, Oracle).Commitment to writing high quality/maintainable code (familiarity with good coding practices, unit testing frameworks like JUnit)Good modeling and design skills (familiarity with UML and modeling tools like Enterprise Architect or TogetherJ a plus)Understanding of Application Server and Database performance issues.3 years experience in object-oriented analysis and design1 year experience with Java-based Web application servers(i.e. Weblogic)Self-driven to produce quality results on timeStrong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.)B.S. in Computer ScienceDesirable Qualifications:Experience with common Internet technologies such as XML, Web servers, application servers, security, and various networking protocolsExperience with object persistence frameworks (EJBs, Hibernate, etc.)Experience with core web technologies such as HTTP, SOAP, Struts, .NET, etc.Experience with wireless carrier infrastructure
