Sr. Industrial Hygienist

Purpose: Job Description: Our client a global professional service company concentrating in the areas of health and safety, environmental engineering, remediation, construction and IT is seeking a Sr. Industrial Hygienist /Safety Professional for its Oakland Office. The ideal candidate will have previous consulting and project management experience in the areas of hazardous waste safety regulations and construction safety. Successful candidates will provide senior level technical expertise; manage IH/Safety projects for existing clients. Job Skills Requirements:
- BS in relevant field.
- 5+ years experience professional experience and CIH certification (or have met all requirements to take the exam)
- Basic knowledge of air and noise monitoring equipment and methods.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and intermediate knowledge of MSWord, MS PowerPoint, and MSExcel.
- Overnight travel required.
- OSHA 40-Hour training preferred.


Job Duties:
The major job duties will include the following;
- Hazardous material field investigations independently collect samples following established protocols.
- Interpret sample results and develop recommendations according to standard regulations.
- Record photographic evidence that may have an impact on the project.
- Technical report writing, incorporating all appropriate sample results, regulatory requirements and recommendations.
- Environmental construction management oversight, develop training modules for a broad range of technical topics.
- Develop project forms for Conduct site visits under direction of either CIH, or CSP to ascertain compliance with EPS or OSHA.
- Overnight travel is required
