Sr. Hardware Engineer (EE)

A candidate for this position must have work experience of all hardware design cycle tasks including: requirements capture and analysis, schematic design, board layout, hardware verification, and hardware/software integration.
A candidate should have experience in design of a variety of hardware circuits, especially in embedded microcontrollers/microprocessors/DSP implementation.
Experience with hardware circuit simulation and analysis tools is required. Success at this position would rely heavily upon schedule tracking capabilities and discipline to follow a defined development process.
It is desirable that candidates have experience with design for wide environmental conditions, EMI, lightning, etc. requirements (experience in design to DO-160 requirements). Experience in reliability and fault analysis is a plus.
Knowledge of general aircraft systems and ability to work with other people is required. The ideal candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.
Prior product design/hardware engineering experience in the Commercial Avionics market is desired. Experience performing safety analysis, knowledge of flight control system operation and knowledge of related FAA/JAA regulations is also desired. Working understanding of closed loop control systems is considered a plus.


Requirements:

This job requires an undergraduate degree in applicable engineering or science field or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and/or job performance and a minimum of 4 years (normally 5-8 years) of specifically related experience or graduate degree in applicable engineering or science field or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and/or job performance and a minimum of 2 years (normally 3-6 years) of specifically related experience.
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related exempt experience plus six years related exempt experience.
