Sr GIS Specialist

Division: Marketing/MidstreamCategory: EngineeringThis position provides support to the Central Region’s ROW and Construction group. It provides the leadership for an existing group of six draftspersons responsible for providing pipeline alignment sheets and other related drawings as well as engineering drawings for the construction of compressor and pipeline facilities. Works with Operational groups to provide mapping services coordinated through Oklahoma City office. Depending on workload also provides drafting services to keep up with ROW and Construction activities.
Job Description:
Supervise work of six draftspersons of various levels of experience.
Check draftspersons work to ensure good engineering practice is applied relating to drawings and alignment sheets.
Schedule draftspersons work to complete projects on time and meet construction deadlines.
Work with OKC mapping office to ensure good drawings and data is maintained of the Central Regions various gathering systems.
Hire and terminate contract drafting personnel.
Work with outside Engineering Consultants to provide for temporary drafting services when inhouse capabilities are exhausted.
Participate in the Region’s SAFE program.
Participate in the Region’s Safety training program.
Oversee diagnostics & maintenance on PC computer hardware
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
10 years Drafting Experience preferred.
3 years Drafting Supervisory Experience
preferred.
Strong PC software and hardware skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Package
Requires strong interpersonal skills with ability to
effectively work within a multidisciplinary team
environment
Must live within a reasonable distance to
Bridgeport, Texas.
Self-motivated
Able to read Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
Working knowledge of or ability to learn
and oversee:
Latest AUTOCAD version software.
Blue Sky
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
GIS mapping processes
