And in everything we do, we strive for honesty, fairness and integrity.”Sr. Engineer II - Chilled Beverage Packaging R&D Lead the design and development process for new package innovations from concept to commercialization, directing all packaging efforts to maximize consumer appeal, control costs, and operate efficiently throughout the supply chain. Translate technical knowledge, consumer insight, business understanding, and supplier capabilities into functional package designs. Work closely with internal and external business partners to discover new technologies for application on current and future product offerings. Provide fresh perspectives, creative ideas, and practical solutions. Collaborate with Global Procurement, Supply Chain, and Quality to provide technical support to identify and implement cost management projects, and to ensure quality standards, package performance, and a continued supply of products and packaging materials. Design and coordinate laboratory and plant tests to assess technical feasibility in the qualification of alternate materials and vendors. Collect test data, interpret results, formulate conclusions and communicate recommendations to influence business decisions. Take broad leadership roles on projects. Positively influence at all levels within and outside the organization to promote effective working relationships in support of the team s objectives. Work directly with other functions to establish and manage priorities. Option to manage one direct report.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. Engineering (Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical).6-8 years experience, preferably in foods or beverage packaging.Knowledgeable of wide variety of packaging materials, particularly rigid packaging including extrusion blow molding, and related testing methodologies. Able to apply statistical methods in the design of test plans and in data analysis.Broad understanding of product/package interactions, food processing, quality, and packaging machinery.Strong project management and organizational skills, demonstrated technical problem solving ability, and clear/effective verbal and written communication.Able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities, and to effectively negotiate project requests and priorities to optimize resource utilization.Proven track record of delivering results.
