Sr. Embedded Controls Engineer

Our Client in Lancaster, South Carolina is seeking a Sr. Development Engineer to join their team. The Sr. Development Engineer will be responsible for the management, performance, and completion of several, concurrent product development projects. Projects may include a variety of products that control medium to high voltage switching, safety light curtains and proximity switches used in the automotive industries, fire pump controls to provide monitoring and operation for high rise buildings and the delivery of water to their fire sprinkler systems. Projects may also include the sourcing of engineering projects to both domestic and low cost region contract engineers.

Must interface with outside resources (Consultants, Design Houses, and International Vendors) and drive those resources to meet their obligations toward developing products within specified time frames and on budget.

Responsibilities:

*Provide a leadership role to guide multi-national product development teams and Engineering firms from inception thru production.
*Maintain and execute scheduled development cycles and develop products on time and within budget constraints.
*Write, debug, test, and maintain code written in C and/or Assembly for real-time microcontroller-based embedded products.
*Experienced in design and application of Programmable Loop Controllers and associated communication protocols.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Must have at least 5 years experience
Must have direct management experience
