Sr. Electronic Technician

Position Overview:
As a Senior Electronic Technician, you will take part in development of the next generation innovative medical devices. You will leverage your expertise in building and modifying prototypes and test fixtures, troubleshooting, and testing. Likewise, you will generate, update and release engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be tasked with designing and building test fixtures and wiring harnesses used in testing. Depending on complexity, your design work could be fully independent or performed under direction of responsible engineer. You will research leading technologies and industry trends, and apply them in your work assignments where applicable.

You will perform troubleshooting of circuit boards including microprocessor circuitry and digital logic, as well as analog and power circuitry. You will perform repair and rework of circuit boards, and generate/update rework documentation. You will perform tests, including verification and validation tests. You will process the test data using calculation spreadsheet, graphing software, etc., and generate test reports. You will be responsible for smooth and efficient operation of engineering laboratory. This will include overseeing equipment maintenance and calibration, and ordering new equipment and supplies as needed.

A demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and testing of advanced digital and analog board assemblies is necessary for this position.
Experience in rework of fine-pitch SMT assemblies including BGA parts, and manual dexterity needed for such rework are also required.
You also have familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, and with soldering equipment. You are able to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings. Your ability to use electrical or mechanical CAD tools would be a desirable asset. Your ability to design simple electronic circuitry by following published application notes will also be considered an asset.
