Design and characterize new ESD structures in new and existing processes. This position will require a solid understanding of semiconductor physics and will involve process and circuit simulation, layout, and verification of ESD/Latch-Up protection circuitry for various digital and analog technologies testchips. Coordinate development of new ESD cells including LVS recognition and Spice model with CAD department. Generate and maintain ESD and Latch-Up Rules and Guidelines for all processes. Advise product/circuit designers on proper use of ESD protection at the I/O and chip level. Verify each new design or re-design for ESD/Latch-Up Robustness to Corporate ESD specifications prior to release for tape-out. Assist in failure analysis of ESD/Latch-Up failures. Research new ESD and Latch-Up structures compatible with technologies in developmentRequirements: The successful candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Bachelor’s of Science in EE or Solid-State Physics with a Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of comparable experience with background in semiconductor device physics
