Sr Database Engineer (5163)

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of enterprise-wide databases and associated applications. Will perform database and software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance, availability and compliance with business requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with end users to analyze and resolve related issues in a time-critical environment. The key to success will be the development of physical designs, performance analysis, conducting benchmarks and other performance measurements. Will be expected to tune large databases and contribute to technical reports, install and configure Oracle server and client software and be willing to participate in weekend/evening/holiday on-call rotations with the team for on-going missions.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience iwth at least 2 years of Oracle 9i, 2+ years of PL/SQL coding experience. Must also have experience using Oracle features and utilities to include external tables, partitioning, sql*ldr, etc. Familiarity with Oracle XML DB and SAN/NetApp is highly desirable.

Required Skills:
A minimum of 14 years experience in developing applications for and providing life cycle support to legacy databases. A bachelors degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline may be substituted for four years of work experience.
