Sr. Cost Engineer/Estimator

Job Description - Senior Cost Engineer/Estimator Duties include quantity surveys, pricing, use of various estimating systems and databases, cost studies and data collection and report writing, all related to general construction. Must be able to work in a quick paced, team environment and be able to meet deadlines. This position will require an individual that is able to work with, and understand, multiple design and construction disciplines. Experience using electronic take-off tools and AutoCAD will be helpful. Some extended travel may be required.Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)
(a) Minimum required:
Bachelors Degree in engineering or construction technology, with a minimum of ten years experience in construction and cost estimating. Some experience using automated estimating tools such as digitizing equipment, AutoCAD, Timberline, MC2, MCACES and Primavera. The ability to read and interpret construction documents is required. Must also be familiar with use of MS Office products.(b) Desired:
B.S. Degree in Engineering and Professional Engineering registration. Current Certification from either AACE International or ASPE, or the ability to obtain certification within the next six months. Prior experience planning and programming military facilities. Experience using MCACES, PACES and Success estimating system and Primavera Project Planner. Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word.Desired but not required: Current Secret/Top Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain.
