Sr Avionics/Electronics Technician

Job Responsibilities:
Works independently or directs other technicians to perform a variety of complex operational and functional tests, maintenance, and repairs to airframe and electronics/avionics equipment and systems. Plans and coordinates all electrical/avionics activities performed on assigned aircraft and works with Avionics Supervisor to provide customers with daily information on aircraft schedules, repairs, parts, components shipped to vendors, etc.
1. Accomplish or direct others in the completion of aircraft and component electronics/avionics maintenance, including the most complex assignments.2. As a functional Lead, plan, schedule, and coordinate tasks on work authorizations in order to meet the Service Center master schedule. Provide status reports and progress schedules to management.3. Review work, including forms and records, to ensure compliance with Inspection Procedures Manual, Operating Procedures and FAR""s.4. Provide technical guidance in proper procedures of trouble shooting electrical/avionics systems, routine inspections and preventative maintenance to other technicians.
5. Direct and assist others in multi-discipline troubleshooting and problem resolution efforts.6. Respond to customer phone calls to assist in diagnoses of problems or explain system functions.7. Maintain a current knowledge of Inspection Procedures Manual, Manufacture manuals, safety practices, and general knowledge pertaining to aircraft serviced by facility.
