Sr Apps Prog/Analyst Tech Spec

Performs as a lead developer/programmer with 5-10 years experience in lifecycle development. Java, .net and VB.NET experience required. Expert in technical development and software support functions. Able to direct and participate in software upgrades and installation tasks. May provide specific guidance to others on complex assignments. Act as lead or be part of a team, developing software testing, debugging, documentation, and installation tasks for on-line and batch processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards. Evaluates application architecture and design, development and maintenance programming deliverables, technology tools, and associated technology process. Participates in and may direct problem definition and problem resolution activities. Participates in and may direct the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements. Coordinates with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for projects. Participates in and may lead IT technology assessments and other projects as needed. Responsible for creation and review of new and revised internal IT standards and procedures. Performs knowledge transfer to other staff and may review the technical work of other staff. Performs other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience in all phases of applications software development and maintenance life cycles and development tools, required.

Strong skills required in leadership, critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).

Understanding of health care business preferred.
