Sr Application Systems Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Functional Responsibility: Formulates/defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for the completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analyst/programmers.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:

Minimum Education: B.S. or B.A Degree

REQUIRED SKILLS:

3-5 years experience in technical writing. Develop and/or lead the development effort for User Manuals, Test Manuals, and Test Scripts as required. Maintain proper Configuration Management and version control for all documentation.

3-5 years experience testing and evaluating software applications. Perform and/or lead the testing effort for application usability, application acceptance and stress tests as required. Document and report test results accordingly.

1-2 years experience performing application demonstrations and/or user training – able to develop and perform application demonstrations for DISA and COCOM’s as required. Willing and able to travel to overseas locations to perform this function. Develops and performs user training as required. Writes and updated training materials and documents as needed.

Current and Active DoD SECRET required

DESIRED SKILLS:

8-10 years of Military operations experience a big plus. Ability to formulate and develop a demonstration scenario based on military operational processes.

Recent experience with DISA programs: NECC, NCES, GIG-BE, FDCE very helpful

Any experience with “Effects Based Operations” a big plus.
