Sr. Altiris Engineer
Altiris Engineer Kforce is looking to hire a senior Altiris Engineer to work on the design and integration of Altiris solutions into a complex enterprise infrastructure.Must have worked in a large enterprise environment
Implementation Experience i.e., enterprise implementations
Ability to document processes.
Skilled in interpreting customer requirements and turning them into solutions (functional requirements).
Network Engineering background
Must have 2 years of solid Altiris 6.0 experience. Must have solid Experience with Notification server (NOT just Deployment server), PC transplant, & Altiris Patch management a must.
Must have successfully deployed Altiris 6.0 and the NS client in enterprise environments
Must be able to demonstrate trouble shooting SQL and Altiris issues.
Large scale deployment of Altiris Notification server to enterprise environment a real plus.
Experience writing custom reports in Altiris
Windows 2000 experience a MUST. MSCE preferred.
Must be familiar with GPO, and workstation environments.
Experience with Windows XP migration from 2000.
Must show foresight of the network impact of the solution.
Wise experience is a plus.
Must have WMI scripting capability.
Sun, Linux experience a plus.General Skills
Articulate
Experience with the federal government is a plus.
Strong oral and written communications skills
Must be able to present and interact with groups
The ability to write white papers and document processes is a major part of the job.
Solutions/Integration development skills
Work with multiple vendors for best of breed solution.Professional Certifications are a plus.Business will be conducted Reston, VA and Washington, DC.
