Spacecraft Structural Analyst Sr

Perform mechanical / structural analysis of flight hardware for use on spacecraft programs. Duties include requirements definition, conceptual, preliminary/layout, and detail analysis, design review presentations, and support to test. Responsibilities may include leading small work package including interfacing with customer, technical support, proposal technical inputs, cost estimating, directing junior engineers, and meeting schedule and cost commitments.

Demonstrated strong engineering skills in structural analysis, NASTRAN, PATRAN, classical hand analysis and closed form solutions. Able to employ classical laminate analysis methods for composite materials and finite element techniques for metals. Provide documentation of stress analysis results in clear concise reports. Requires BS in Engineering (ME, CE, AE) and 10 years experience with mechanical / structural analysis of spacecraft structures (NOT AIRCRAFT). Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
