Solution Support Engineer

Major Responsibilities: Title: Senior Interoperability Solutions Engineer Location to be determined in the North Region and based on the candidate selected. Position is responsible for managing complex interoperability solutions for public sector and commercial accounts. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for all aspects of , customer operational surveys, requirement gathering and documentation, , interoperability solutions analysis, consulting and project management of solutions implementations. The incumbent in this position will coordinate cross-functional support with the account teams, product management, and third party vendors in order to drive the development of customized interoperability solutions that best meet customer needs and can be leveraged in support of enterprise, government and CNS sales. The incumbent should have the ability to: analyze and solve a range of practical radio communication problems in an environment where limited standardization exists; analyze customer operations and advise customers on optimizing radio fleets and talkgroups to maximize LMR to iDEN and iDEN to iDEN interoperability; create detailed documentation, including requirements, scope, design, and interoperability solutions implementation plans; create and deliver technical capability presentations to executive level (CXO) customers; ensure deadlines are met, maintain detailed project spreadsheets and matrices, research market and fleet data as required, and identify opportunities for process improvement. This individual will work very closely with customers, the field and national sales organizations, and the Director of Interoperability Solutions, as well as other CNS functions. Travel required 50% or more.

Minimum Qualifications: (Job related skills, experience, and education):

Bachelor's Degree preferred;
5-7 years LMR operations and/or management experience required;

Experience designing and/or implementing customized communications solutions required;

Experience in cross functional project management required;

Excellent oral communications skills required;

iDEN experience preferred;

Applications sales support selling skills preferred;

Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required; MS Project skills a plus.
