Software Test Engineer - Jython or Python

This Software Test Engineer will work in the Government Systems Advanced Technology Information Assurance group to perform software engineering tasks in the areas of information assurance and information security. Candidate must be able to work with the systems security engineers to develop test procedures for real time applications, the candidate must also be proficient in Python or Jython script development. Candidate must have basic knowledge of information assurance and security engineering principles involving communications and/or computer security, transmission security, key management and cryptography. Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years experience directly-related to the design, development and qualification of real time embedded software systems. Ideally, the candidate will be able to clearly document the software/systems architecture and design, and implement embedded, object-oriented Ada applications using a structured software design process that meets the requirements for NSA certification. The ideal candidate must have the following demonstrated skills: 1) Proficient in Python or Jython script development. 2) Experience in areas of systems security, information assurance, communication security, computer security, transmission security and cryptography. 3) Experience in developing tests for embedded Real Time Systems. 4) Experience in developing C/Ada software for embedded real-time systems . 5) Experience with SPARK, Rose Real Time, Clearcase, ClearQuest ***Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.***
