Software Test Engineer - PL/SQL, Perl, Linux, Unix Testing ETL and Dashboards

A downtown Seattle Multimedia eCommerce Company has an Application Platform Services Reporting team which is looking for a highly self-motivated Software Test Engineer to help with the testing of the clients Data Warehouse and Enterprise reporting environments.


Primary Responsibilities will include:
Designing, Developing and executing test plans
Identifying and tracking software defects
Working closely with other Testers, Developers, Program Managers and Test Leads on a daily basis
Multiple simultaneous projects

About Our ClientThis is a very large and successful Global Leader in Multimedia eCommerce that supplies Internet Media delivery.They develop and market software products and services designed to enable users of personal computers and consumer electronic devices to send and receive audio, video, games and other multimedia services using the Web.

This is an estimated 6 months contract position with the possibility of an extension, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.


Requirements:



Key technical skills include:
BA/BS preferred in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in related field
3-5 years of strong testing experience focusing on the software verification and backend data validation
Understanding of general business processes
Must be a self motivated/self starter personality with an ability to work in a fast paced environment (either independently or within a team)
Experience working in an interactive development environment
3-5 years experience with PL/SQL, Perl, Linux and Unix
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a Linux and Unix environment
Minimum of 2 years work experience performing SQL queries to validate data
