Software Test Automation Engineer

Immediate need for an Integration and Test Tools Engineer to be responsible for development of testing tools used to automate system integration and test activities associated within the development of wireless devices. Tool development includes design, implementation, validation, and maintenance phases for multiple tools. These tools enable test automation for RF, PHY, MAC, and application layer services based on inputs of test plans and test cases from the Integration and Test department. This engineer is involved in design reviews for diagnostic monitor and testability requirements to aid in Integration and Tools automation coverage.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience required for this position:
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development or System Integration and Test of wireless communication devices.
• Familiar with industry standard test plan
development, lab setups, test execution, and
debugging.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with test case
automation.
• Design of automation testing tools for system
integration using VB.NET, Perl, Python, Java,
or LabView/VEEPro.
• COM DLL, socket-based tools, and GUI
application development experience highly
desirable.
• Experience with Linux OS is desirable.
• Also experienced with product embedded
software development a plus.
• Experience with RF, PHY, MAC, and application
layer services for one or more wireless
datacom/telecom standards. Experience with
VoIP a plus.
• Some lab experience with test equipment
including spectrum analyzers, signal
generators, protocol analyzer, etc.
• BS (Computer Eng., E.E., or CompSci)
required. MSEE desired.
