Software Technical Writer

Purpose: Our client in the Pleasanton area is seeking a Software Technical Writer for a 4-6 month contract (possibly permanent for the right candidate.)

Candidate will be responsible for finalizing software requirement and design documentation through collaboration with development engineers. In some cases, this may require self-initiated reverse-engineering of product features/functionality and/or software source code. Primary working knowledge in the creation, editing, review, and delivery of:
1.Structured Systems Analysis & Design Documentation
2.Process Documentation
3.System Design Documentation
4.Policies/Procedures

Key Skills:
-Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Tools: Word, Excel, Visio.
-Proven record/ability to deliver high quality, consistent, and concise technical documentation under tight project timelines.
-Highly skilled in drawing out key technical content in interviews with developer/designers.
-Ability to deliver work product in compliance with Structured Control: ISO, FDA, Military, or equivalent.
-Familiar and/or able to read and understand C, C++, C# implementations.
-Significant understanding of MicroSoft development tools, terms, design patterns, and technologies.
-Process/detail oriented, proven analytical/problem-solving ability, and self-starter.
Key Work Experience
5+ years writing Computer Technical Engineering Documentation (Requirements, Architecture, Design, Use Cases, etc.), with at least 3+ years in a MicroSoft development environment.
2+ years writing in compliance with structured development controls.Classification:ContractCompensation:
