Software Support Engineer- Level 2

Our Software Support Division is seeking an enthusiastic, goal-oriented individual to join our support team. The candidate will be responsible for handling second level support calls as well as adding and maintaining Active Directory users, installing software and updates in a Citrix environment. Must be able to perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, research, and documentation.

What will you be doing?

Perform problem determination and resolution on software and hardware.
Troubleshoot network, Windows, and application software.
Organize, track, and maintain software license agreements. Insure Bank's usage is consistent and in compliance with vendor's license agreements.
Add/Delete Active Directory users. Change Active Directory user groups for default printers, location changes, department changes, etc.
Reset Active Directory passwords or enable users.
Use shadowing for problem determination.
Possess ability to disable/enable logins on Citrix servers.
Install, configure, update, and support software applications used by Bank.
Assist users with maintenance and delivery of software features and functionality.
Evaluate and identify software to improve and enhance end user tasks and functions.
Participate in identification and updating of corporate software policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain software procedure manual entries.
Available to work Saturdays on a rotating schedule.
Flexible on occasional travel to one of the First American Bank locations or Customer banks.
REQUIREMENTS
What do you need to qualify?
College degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MCSE certification desirable.
3 plus years experience with Windows, PC problem determination & resolution, configurations, upgrades, and minor repairs on computers. Banking or Financial Services experience is a plus.
Ability to relay technical information to both technical and non technical personnel.
Strong written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving or troubleshooting skills.
Extensive and highly developed PC skills including MS Windows OS from 9X to XP, MS Office Professional, Visio, Lotus Notes, anti virus software, and anti spyware software.
Strong familiarity with Active Directory.
A basic understanding of a Citrix XP environment.
Ability to install software applications and upgrades.
Strong documentation skills.
